Overview

The RAIPL PP-Coated Steel Backing Ring is designed for use with compatible PE flange adaptors and stub ends in underground fuel-piping systems. The steel core provides the strength required for bolted flange connections, while the reinforced polypropylene coating improves protection against moisture, chemicals and corrosive site conditions.

Features

Strong Flange Support
The rigid steel core distributes bolt pressure around the PE flange adaptor and supports a secure equipment connection.

Protective PP Coating
The reinforced polypropylene covering helps protect the steel core from moisture, chemicals and corrosive underground conditions.

Bolted Equipment Connection
Enables PE fuel piping to connect with compatible flanged valves, pumps, transition pieces and other system equipment.

Replaceable Assembly
The backing ring forms part of a detachable bolted connection, allowing equipment to be removed or serviced without cutting the PE pipeline.

Multiple Drilling Options
The ring can be supplied with the flange-drilling pattern required for the connected equipment, subject to the approved RAIPL drawing.
