Overview

The RAI MDPE & HDPE Gas Piping System is designed for safe underground distribution of natural gas, PNG, vaporised LPG, biogas and industrial gases. Manufactured using PE 80 and PE 100 polyethylene compounds, the pipes provide flexibility, corrosion resistance and reliable performance across domestic, commercial and industrial gas networks.

Available from 20 mm to 180 mm in SDR 11 and SDR 17, the range can be joined using electrofusion or butt-fusion technology to create strong, homogeneous and leak-resistant piping networks.

The reference system is offered in PE 80 and PE 100 grades, SDR 11 and SDR 17, and uses fusion-based jointing for gas distribution applications.

Key Benefits

  • 20 mm to 180 mm size range
  • PE 80 and PE 100 material grades
  • SDR 11 and SDR 17 options
  • Electrofusion and butt-fusion jointing
  • Corrosion-resistant polyethylene construction
  • Suitable for underground gas distribution

Features

Reliable Gas Conveyance
Designed for the safe transportation of natural gas, PNG, vaporised LPG, biogas and suitable industrial gases in underground distribution networks.
Leak-Resistant Fusion Joints
Electrofusion and butt-fusion jointing create a strong and homogeneous connection, helping minimise potential leakage points within the pipeline network.
Flexible and Lightweight
Polyethylene construction provides the flexibility required to accommodate normal ground movement while making transportation, handling and installation easier.
Corrosion-Resistant Construction
The non-metallic pipe material resists moisture, soil conditions and electrochemical corrosion, eliminating the rusting commonly associated with metallic pipelines.
Long-Term Underground Performance
PE 80 and PE 100 materials provide dependable pressure performance and durability for properly designed and installed underground gas networks.
