Shaheed Naik Rajesh Jhakad Filling Station – HDPE Fuel Pipe Installation

Installation, electrofusion jointing and testing of 63 mm multilayer HDPE underground fuel piping system at HPCL Shaheed Naik Rajesh Jhakad Filling Station, Rewari.

Project Overview

This HDPE Fuel Pipe Installation project was completed at HPCL Shaheed Naik Rajesh Jhakad Filling Station, Rewari, Haryana, using a 63 mm multilayer HDPE fuel piping system.

The project covered complete underground fuel-pipeline execution, including trench preparation, controlled pipe laying, electrofusion jointing, pressure testing and final installation documentation. The project records also include dealer acknowledgement of the completed installation.

Scope Work

The project involved installation and testing of the underground HDPE fuel piping network, including:

  • Preparation and marking of underground trenches
  • Controlled unrolling of HDPE pipe coils
  • Preparation of 150 mm sand bedding before pipe laying
  • Installation and routing of 63 mm HDPE fuel pipe
  • Pipe cutting and scraping by trained personnel
  • Installation of tees, couplers, elbows, flanges and flange adaptors
  • Electrofusion welding of pipe and fittings
  • Inspection of electrofusion joints
  • Connection of underground fuel-system routes
  • 6-bar air-pressure testing of installed pipelines
  • Vacuum testing and leak verification
  • Joint measurement and final installation documentation
  • Preparation and approval of the site piping layout
The Joint Measurement Record documents approximately 156.9 metres of 63 mm HDPE pipe, together with 6 tees, 20 couplers, 3 × 90° elbows, 15 flanges and 15 flange adaptors.

Key Achievements

  • Approximately 156.9 metres of 63 mm HDPE fuel pipe installed
  • Complete underground piping installation executed at an HPCL retail outlet
  • 150 mm protective sand bedding provided before pipe laying
  • Controlled pipe unrolling and trench alignment followed during installation
  • Electrofusion welding used for underground pipe-to-fitting connections
  • Electrofusion joints inspected after welding
  • Installed pipeline subjected to 6-bar pressure testing for a minimum of 1 hour
  • Pressure-test documentation records zero pressure loss, no bubbles and zero leakage
  • Recorded vacuum test completed with no leakage and Pass result
  • Joint Measurement Record and final site piping layout documented
  • Dealer acknowledgement received for the completed HDPE pipe installation
